An emotional time for the nation and indeed worldwide this week, as we learnt of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passing away and the events that followed. Dutch prices predictably increased as demand for flowers soared.
The pressure on our growers, many of whom supply supermarkets has also increased with their orders doubling and tripling in some parts of the country as consumers show their respect by laying flowers. This in a period when seasonal heat and light level changes already impact supply has made for a few challenges.

DONT FORGET, ORDER EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! I've been there and back and definitely know how far it is!! Flowered up some rockin' weddings with the lovely JacquiO Florals :) on my working holiday - and Yes it was a LOT of Gypsophila! Crops have had a good drenching of rain - flash floods - diggers have been in the dykes and the fields are waterlogged .... from one extreme to another and it rained all day today too - forecast is for sunny days next week so we are expecting an abundance of product!! Pink & White Snowberries are back...
